well...just get a waterproof fuse holder then. like i said if your system is installed right you wont go around blowing fuses.

how about 4 infinite baffle 10's firing thru the seat? I had them in an 81 monte carlo and it was pretty loud. You also dont have to sacrifice your trunk for a huge box...or weigh the car down. Just a suggestion........

i still want my backseat and i aint gonna build an entire enclosure just the face and top. it will be 4 12's tho.

how about an aperiodic enclosure? it can be small as hell but will sound real nice. not a ground pounder but very accurate bass from what ive read in car audio mags over the years.

they only article i could come up with at short notice.

nahh, i think i like the groundpounder enclosure idea that we came up with earlier. It will use te trunk as an enclosure after i fiberglass all the seams and seal it up, then i will put a face there and a top that will go to the top of the trunk to the rear of the opening. Lastly, i will have 2 4in ports go through the 4x10 holes.

well, i think im gonna go with that amp. reason 1: it will match my 2Ch amp that i will use for the front stage. Reason 2: 1700 watts RMS?!?!?!?! that will slam those subs HARD! even if it is a little overrated...if i get a good 1500 or 1600... WOW Oh, and the amp on ebay is 240 with shipping so i will just go through sonic when i get the cash. it may be a month or 2 when i get the car running perfect and painted.

you have a lot a good stuff there. cant wait to see it in action.

just use caution with your amp and front stage combo. the amp has more power than the comps are rated for,but shouldnt be a prob if the gain is set right.

ya pedro, that is what i was wondering, the only reason i am using that amp for the comps is cause i already have it and that is about $90 less that i have to spend. And it matches the PS1-4000D:cool:

looks good jonny. when are you planning on ordering the amp? so it looks like a couple of months before you're all set?

Umm... I have to finish the car, and its the 11th. i would say next month i will start on it, i wanna order the amp like the middle of next month or so, hopefully. i am buying all my wires from KnuKonceptz for a total of 76.57, but that includes 40ft of 8AWG, 20ft of 1/0AWG, and 2 sets of 5 meter RCA's. I think i am getting off really cheap with that stuff. $1.75/ft for 1/0 and $.39/ft for 8!!!!

How should i break those subs in? Should I put them in my box and play them at 4Ohms bridged on my PS2-800? Then just swap subs and play the same exact music/test tones for the exact same amount of time at a moderate volume?
