no that is an 8 ohm mono load. your amp is not 2 ohm mono stable. you could just wire each coil to a ch.the amp will run in stereo, but you need to have a digital volt meter to make sure both channel are putting out the same power
okay well im pretty lost now im planning on buying a 2 channel 480x1 rms @ 4 ohms bridged...im just trying to make sure that that amount of wattage would be safe for the 500rms of my sub with 4 ohm voice coil if it is i will come back for wiring questions after i get it in the mail
i think he said double.......i think? if so your sub cant be wired to a single 4 ohm load. only 2 ohm mono,8 ohm mono,or just 2 reg 4 ohm stereo. 1 coil to each channel of your 2 ch amp.
my sub=4 ohm dual voice coil 500 rms amp=that profile one that dan has...480rms @ 4 ohms bridged just trying to figure if that will work out or not
ok..your sub can NOT be wired into a 4 ohm mono load. if it were a single voice coil sub then yes it would work fine. what you need to find is an amp that will be able to handle a 2 ohm mono load. so if you havent already got that amp.then you want to get a mono (1 ch) amp.those are 2 ohm mono stable.
oh okay.suppsoeably the amp i have now (directed A502) is bridged at 4 ohms so i thought it would work like that but umm my budget is around $90-100 after shipping and stuff if not more than 400 rms then i was gonna get the boss gt1000M 400 rms mono at 2 ohms $95 shipped okay but i just found out about a different profile amp Profile HA1000M 500rms x 1 @ 2 ohms mono channel about the same price as the boss so im pretty set between the two but i need to know which would be better.becuase i want the most power i can get,but without putting the sub into danger
