to prevent very low bass from damaging your subs.

set it to around 25 or 30hz

Amp:480 watts RMS x 1 bridged output at 4 ohms

    Sub:4 ohms / per coil....RMS (Continuous): 500 watts

no...i left them as they were because the profile amp doesnt have the power to run the 2 15....but i kept playing w/ the settings and i cant hear bass on the speakers...what i did was that i decreased the bass on the HU an decreased the bass to the speakers on the external eq and there is no sound of bass in the speakers just mids and hi's

so you have 2 subs or one? if you have 2 dual 4 ohm subs then we can wire it for a 4 ohm mono load.

but know this......2 of them will have to share the power.

    240 watts each.

no.i only have 1 sub.thats why i wanted to see if its okay to run 480rms into that

well it should be ok because when they say 480 rms is at 4 ohms but you have to wire the sub un series so it makes 8 ohms and it ill be less power that the amp is giving...anyways when the say480 its ussually at 14.4 v ...

oh okay..so its not really 480 then huh
isnt it ifthe volts are around like 17 then its true wattage.
so basically ur sayin i'll be safe?
and do u know how wire into 8 ohms?

to wire it into 8ohm u have to wire it in series like this:

    oh okay
so i bridge a positive and negative then use the other two to hook up to the amp??
and then i can use that for a 2 ohm load on the amp???
