well if you have the room.the 8 8's will have more cone area. what amp do you plan on running the subs you choose
well im planning on buying a RF 4 channel amp or a planet audio 4 channel amp...and i do have the space...what im gonna do is use these for like everyday use and then use the audiopipes for like competition and so...
and also do u think this speakers will work good in my van??Parts Expressayton RS150-4 6" Reference Woofer 4 Ohm
40 watts rms and 65 max...sure just dont over power them. also why use 8 8's for everyday then use 2 15's for comps. those 8's will have 2x the cone area.hell even 4 12's will have more cone area
hmm so u think im better off w/ the 8 8s for comps... and it actally makes sense lol the more the cone area the more air it pushes right?? and the more air the more spl??? so ill see if i get enough cash for my bday lol...also do u think these subs handle every day abuse?? cuz ive got a friend who wants a system but is a lil short on the cash so im thinkin bout 4 12s or 6 8" and use a RF amp to power them and get a cheap amp for the speakers
i'd rather go for the 4 12's they can take more abuse...you'll reach the mechanical limits of the 8s sooner than the 12s
well yeah. also pedro I dunno where you got your numbers but the four 12s would have more cone area 4 12's would have 2080 sq cm of cone area while 8 8s would have 1760 sq cm of cone area
lol...i was just checking some numbers cuz suddenly i got this idea to get 8 of those ehqs 8's and port them powered by my Nine.1 would be cool.
well from eD's website the 8 has 220cm^2 of cone area....times that by 8 not really a formula for it...cone area of one sub multiplied by the number of subs there is no need to overpower the EHQS 12's...they will do perfectly fine with 150 watts each
