ok i know everybody has seen these cheap audiobahns and i know all of the expert sound guys has had there say on these cheap skates. but i want to hear from somebody who has purchased these woofers. are they as horrible as those pyle's (sound like paper) or are they decent, entry level speakers? i'll take responses from everybody. these have been hauntin my dreams idk if im passin somethin good up or letting the right thing go. please somebody help me!
Err. Im assuming by your post you didnt read the manual, especially the part that says you have to use both voice coils or the sub will die.
In all dual voice coil subs you CAN use only one voice coil...changes the q of the system or something....BUT you have to watch the power you send to it...power handling is decreased but you still can use one voice coil
In DVC subs each coil handles 1/2 the RMS. If you have a 200W RMS sub and decide to wire one coil then you should only be running 100W RMS to that coil.
If you have two voice coils I would recommend using both. (my opinion) Why waste the speakers power handling ability.
also helps prevent frying the coils. less heat per coil having the power distributed among both rather than all on one
Sorry but anything Audiobahn sucks...even the logo...please remove it...it is just an embarrassment to you lol
Hes not kicking him... hes kicking the audiobahns. That and summarizing what he has learned from the leason.
