having an arguement with a freind and we are getting opioions on a mtx 8500 series 12 vs a audion 12 aw1200q what who u buy and why? big subs over $100.00 each,big magnets xmax ?? sound ?? deep bass??? will appreciate any opinoins. thanks
mtx is known for loud ass rumble and audiobahn is just generally dissed on round the clock. personally i'd go with mtx just from general experience.
i used to run some bluethunder 12's..had em for 13 years.still have one for my home theater.in a bandpass box for the low LOW bass notes in my action flix.
wait wait!! azn you know any speaker in a good box can sound good. this one had 800 watts going to it.in a SOLID 1in thick box.and it hit pretty darn nice for a single 12. going to as many shows as i have i've also heard my fair share of crap set ups with good subs in bad boxes. it looked good.....thats all i could say about it.it should have been louder than it looked.
yes pedro I know that....but the quality and reliability of Audiobahn vs. MTX is like a Mercedes to a Toyota EDITED because : typing > me
bad analogy.....toyota makes a real good car/truck. now if you said mercedes compaired to a old dodge...lol. but as for quality/life span ok you make a good point. if it doesnt get abused/overdriven all day everyday it sould last a while. this is just for azn:did you know g monk keeps blowing his subs?his thing may be more on the abuse side. i.e 4100 watts per sub all day...blasting.they dont last more than a few days in his rig. his are good name brand........it all boils down to abuse.if you beat em hard they will break.
still wnt solid meaing info or spec on thees to subs, the spec are up there on both of them, but which will sound out do the other? cause the mtx 8500 12'is $400.00 and audiobahn $200.00 aw1200q
