I intend to replace the drivers in my 1998 Audi A4. The front doors use a 4 inch driver.

I have adapters to enable me to fit 5.25/13cm drivers which I intend to do. From what I have read, 17cm drivers will not fit without major door work which I don't want to do.

I have a set of brand new Pioneer TS-G132Ci 5.25"/13cm speakers which I can fit, but I wonder just how much better such a small speaker could be if I purchased a 'better' brand like Focal for example?

They will be powered either with my Alpine head unit and Alpines KTP-445 power pack amplifier or with my Alpine 3555 amp, I havent decided yet.

They will probably be the only drivers in the car aside from the factory standard rears for rear-fill if I have passengers and a sub?

    Opinion?

a speaker only sounds as good as its install. mount them up and listen to them. if you don't like them, swap them for better sounding ones.

i've been surprised by some installs that used lower end speakers.

I totally believe that its all about the install for sure. Very well said.
