yeah well ive seen these things before and i was thinking about getting them for my new speakers because i think my doors have some seal problems and moisture gets in. but after reading reviews on crutchfield i am thinking twice, people mainly say that they make the speaker sound real bad; but one guy had a good point. since they are basically make your speaker air-tight it will cause the speaker to have lower of a response, he suggested cutting a "good sized" hole on the bottom of the where water cannot drip into but itll give your speakers the air flow needed to be good. so what do you guys think? anyone have an expierence with these things? thanks
I thought it made my set up sound a lot better. These are foam baffles right, they won't seal air tight anyway. Besides it gives you away to put some acoustic fill behind the speaker. Acoustic fill never hurts performance so why not. http://www.caraudiotalk.com/audio-forum/showthread.php?t=3254
Hey Ranger, i know this is an old post but my 6.5 speakers have no back on the speaker support bracket so it uses the whole door as a cabinet basically; if i close in the back of these supports would i get more mid out of them or would i be restricting too much air behind them. These brackets are about 4 inches deep.
