Polyurethane box? What about resonance?

I'm looking at a subwoofer that comes with a polyurethane enclosure, but I'm worried that the material might not be good for dampening resonance. Anyone have any experience with this or have any idea how much better MDF is than polyurethane? The enclosure is nice and thick (about 1"), so I'm hoping it's not an issue.

polyurethane? um.. hmm.. My friend has 2 12inch Duals in a clear windowed case.. But I wanna say that it's acrylic, but either way, I wouldn't recomend it. Since his set up sounds crappy, but then again.. one inch thickness sounds like it should be able to take any vibrations.. anyone else know more than me?

Polyurethane or polystyrene ? I take it the enclosure is plastic. Could be subject to some bad resonances as plastic isn't very dense. But nothing a little undercoating and or sound deadening can't take care of :)
