How do they improve your bass? they are not powered, so do they just use the air pressure in the box to move in and out and what is the differance between a radiator and a non powered subwoofer??

PR acts just like a port in a helmholtz resonator.

just know that the sub used has to be the same size or bigger than what you have.

i think a passive radiator has a stiffer suspension compared to a reg non powered sub.

passive radiator enclosures are good for really low tuning enclosures...No need to calculate port volume...the enclosure can be significantly smaller....just big enough to fit the drivers if wanted.

Big limiting factor is the mechanical clearances of the PR. Meaning PR's are not meant for high power applications. Also Most PR's are the same soft parts as the passive driver but with no motor. Weight must be added to change the tuning.

I've thought about a PR setup for my HT use though.
