hi, i am brand new here and im looking for some help. I just bought a new pioneer stereo for my 92 pontiac sunbird because the car was stolen 8 months ago and was recovered a few days ago; the stereo i had in there was stolen. they left the wiring harness in tact, so today i tried installing the new pioneer. i am positive all of the wires to the harness were connected correctly, yet the stereo will not even power on. i checked all of the fuses. does anyone have any ideas on what i should check to get this working? thanks very much.

get a digital multimeter and check voltage on your constant and switched power leads. also check to make sure the radio is grounded. if you dont have a meter, you can get one for around 30 bucks at sears.
