i know i ask alot of questions but i dont really know alot about this stuff and i wanna learn. so i was looking around again and i was wondering if this sub is any good and if it is what kind of amp should i use JBL GTO1502D - 15" Grand Touring Series Subwoofer • 300W RMS • 1200W Max • Dual 2-ohm Voice Coils • Polypropylene Cone with Hi-roll rubber surround - , Component Subwoofers, 15" Component Subwoofers - Sonic Electronix
and maybe with this amp Power Acoustik OV2-600 - 4 ohms: 95 watts x 2 • 2 ohms: 120 watts x 2 • Bridged, 4 ohms: 240 watts x 1 • PWM MOSFET power supply • Tri-Mode capable • 3-way protection circuit • 4 gauge power/ground connectors - , Car Amplifiers, 2-Channel Amps - Soni
although that amp will work that sub can either be wired into a 1 ohm load or a 4ohm load. a little more power wont hurt it. maybe 400 or so? Hifonics Titan TXi 5006 - Class A/B Amplifier • 500W x 1 @ 1 ohm • subsonic filters • remote bass control • variable input gain control • illuminated badge and heat sink • MOSFET PWM power supply - , Car Amplifiers, Mono Subwoofer Amps - Sonic Electr like this one.
better yet Power Acoustik PS2-800 - 4 ohms: 150 watts x 2 • 2 ohms: 180 watts x 2 • Bridged, 4 ohms: 360 watts x 1 • PWM MOSFET power supply • High or low level inputs with floating ground • Tri-mode capable • Includes remote level control knob • Frequency Resp this one is cheaper than the hifonics and it wont work as hard into a 4ohm mono load. the other has to work harder for that 1 ohm load than this on into 4 ohms.
if i do get that sub how much and how hard will it be to make an enclosure for it or would i be easier and cheaper just to buy one
i learned its always cheaper to make it yourself i just built a box for my RF P3 15 not only is it cheap (20 buck for a sheet of MDF 49"x97") it is alot better than a prefab box if you have the tools i would DIY
