Looking to put 2-6x9 and 2 10" subs in the rear of a 1973 Camaro. I have a couple of questions for the experts.

Which would you use Jl W1v2 Series, W3v3 Series or the Infinity Kappa?
What amp to drive the subs?
    What Ohm set up?

Is there anyone that has boxes for 73 Camaro?
I have searched till my eyes hurt and cannot find anyone that has premade boxes for this car. I cut the back deck out and I guess I will build something unless I can find one.

I know this is alot of questions for a New Guy to the forum. Trying to set up my son with a good system. For his car and just found this Forum it looks like I will learn alot here.
    Thanks

Forgot to say. They do not have to be the very loudest and rattle the windows out. He just wants crisp clear sound. Listens to all kinds of music but alot of country.

so you may be wanting a good SQ (sound quality) system. subwoofer boxes are pretty easy to make and if you just want clean sound then go with a sealed box which is even easier to make.

What would be your budget for the set up?

you may want to take a look here. Elemental designs makes some very nice stuff

I think I will build it myself. When I do this do I build it to the exact CU FT space called for by the particular sub

most subs will have minimum and maximum requirements for the box. We have a lot of box designers on the forum, you may want to ask their help.

you'll need to give us the max space you have for the box and they can give you the measurements of the box for you to build.

I'm not such a JL audio fan so I would say the kappas. how much are you planning to spend on subs? you find find better subs then the 2 you mentioned.

I can get the Infinity Kappa local for $110 a piece.
Is there better for that price range?

    What about the 6x9's?

I'm not sure about the kappas but I know the reference series doesn't have very tight bass. They sound very mellow but still have good sound. They can unbelievably loud though.
