    Hey caraudiotalk,

Asking for advice before spending money on a new audio system. Basically, I'm getting a SUV and putting a nice system in it. I'm looking for any help on a package that is really nice and easy on the wallet, though I am not afraid to spend. I'm looking for 6 15's basically. 6x9 grill speakers. 6.5's on the door panel. Amps to run the 15's and 1 or 2 depending on it's usefulness, to run the speakers. A in-dash that will run smoothly with the chosen audio equipment and easy to use.

I'm also wondering will items be needed for this system? I am open to suggestions, any help will be appreciated. A system that is better than average but not competiton. Hear me far away kind of thing.

    Thanks in advance.

I think you need to think about the current that will be required for such a system....battery...1 or 2....atl....is it big enough....120-150 amp will be good depending what other things you have running at the same time. 1/0 power cable from battery going back to the amps and for a ground.Battery isolator so you can charge 2 battery's(one for car....1 for system) but amps will only draw current from the amp battery. you do this so if you play the system from the amp battery and it goes dead then you will still be able to start the car to recharge BOTH battery's. Current is very important thing to consider.

Well, what's wrong with 6 15's? I mean it's an SUV, might as well right? Yeah current is important, I'm learning that the hard way right now, my alternator for my family car is a bit weak but I am not going to replace it because im getting the suv soon. What do you guys think? Yeah batterys no problem, that's fine, but I'm looking for a new system in a SUV, anyone who's worked on a SUV before, any tips would be appreciated.

the best things about an suv is the space....are u willing to sacrifice the back seat for the system cuz you want a lot of subs, if u want 1 or 2 amps they are gonna be really big,

No, I'm not afraid to spend. I want to spend and get my money's worth. I am planning to get a 2007 Infiniti QX56. I talked to a local shop and he recommended me to go with all MTX, mtx 15's, mtx amps, mtx 6.5's, mtx 6x9. what do you guys think about htis? I'll give the specific model number later on. I mean, is mtx worth it or no?

what do ya think bout this combo....6 of these MTX Audio T9515-44 - 15" subwoofer • dual 4-ohm voice coils • 1000W RMS power handling • 4.0" voice coil • sensitivity: 87.1dB • 260 oz. magnet - , Component Subwoofers, 15" Component Subwoofers - Sonic Electronix

one or 2 of these -http://sonicelectronix.com/item_8652_MTX+Audio+TE4001D+Thunder+Elite+4001D.html

bout 2 yellow top optima batt, o gauge cable all over, youll have to do the big 3 and a custom made ported enclosure for the 6 subs

a jackhammer is pointless...one 15 can get louder than a jackhammer....a single 10 inch speaker can get louder than a jackhammer.

MTX to me is not worth it...for the money you can get something better

    what would your budget be???

Well, I don't have an exact budget. I have money to spend, but I don't want to go overboard. Something around the area of 6 15's, with maybe 3 amps,(1 amp for 2 15's), and 2 or 4 6.5 that runs smoothly with the 15's, as well as 2 or 4 6x9. I know i need 0 gauge all around, about how many batteries are we talking about? 3? And capictator, are they needed? I bought one for my old vehicle, and it didn't do much.
