Ok, so my 12" RF sub is toast, but it still moves. I would like to have some fun and blow it tottaly, but I dont want to hurt my 1200.1 in the process. Do the subs usually take the amp with them when they blow?

hehehehe... I was thinking the same thing. I would use a variable light switch, you know a reostat, for dimming, and run it through it. Slowly increase the power to the sub so it doesn't just go "pop". That way it will suffer for a while  .

it depends on how the sub is blown...
if the voice coil is unwinding, then it could theoretically rub up against another portion of the windings in such a way that it's insulated coating comes off and it definitely could present your amp with a different impedance...
    This likelyhood is probably slim...
But think of it this way - this is definitely not how the sub was designed to work!
Just in that light alone, I'd remove it from the amp. ;)

I like the wall socket idea.
