Ok guys,i have ordered a custom enclosure.it a center console box for my crew cab.it hold one 10" has 1.7cu.ft and 11" mounting depth.I wanted to run an FI BL 10" but my builder says the box would not do well ported(odd shape and tuning issues) so that would leave me with the FI SSD 10",HCCA 10" or a Stroker 10".what would be the better sub for some decent sound and SPL.thanks
dude, IMO the BL wont be fussy wit the enclosure cause of its shape. the sub wants air, and air is air... now the port placement might be a little funky but i have ports on the sides of my box and in the front, its basically the same as the side port on that box. That Fi BL would be loud as balls anyway i think.
would it be loud or ok to put it in the sealed box.if the builder doesnt think its good idea to port it i dont want to port it myself and ruin an expensive enclosure....you know.what of the HCCA and Stroker?
my guess is that any of those subs will work well in the proper enclosure. do any of those subs specs go with your box?
the box is 1.7 sealed.Fi requires ported except Q and SSD.BL requires porting withy 1.5.HCCA needs 1.0 sealed and 1.5 ported.i have proper box for all.....sealed or decide on porting.does it matter where i put the port in a box?obviously not where it will be constricted but in any relation to the sub placement?
