Clarion Teams Up With Net Enforcers to Stop Unauthorized Internet Sales

October 1, 2003 -- Gardena, Calif. -- Clarion Corporation of America has announced a partnership with Net Enforcers.com to effectively monitor and stop the unauthorized Internet sales of Clarion product.
"In order to protect our authorized dealers and consumers, Clarion has retained Net Enforcers.com to identify these non-authorized sellers and stop these violators from selling Clarion products on unauthorized Internet and auction sites," said Frank Pierce, VP of marketing. "Clarion and Net Enforcers.com will require these violators to clearly inform the consumer that they are not authorized Clarion dealers, that the Clarion products they sell do not come with any Clarion factory warranties and that they are not affiliated with Clarion in any way. In addition, actions will be taken to the unauthorized use and infringement of Clarion's logos, images and other proprietary information."

Pierce went on to add, "We believe these measures, in addition to stopping unauthorized Internet sales, will inform and encourage consumers regarding the added value of purchasing Clarion products from our network of valued authorized dealers. We have a responsibility to our specialists and teaming up with NetEnforcers.com is a major step to ensuring the value of the Clarion line." Clarion also announced an additional change to stop the unauthorized sales of Clarion products. Clarion Car Audio and ProAudio products are sold only to authorized retailers and all purchases of Clarion products, including those made over the Internet from non-authorized Clarion dealers will not come with Clarion factory warranties. Clarion's Website will clearly note this change and allow the consumer to verify whether a seller is an authorized Clarion dealer.
