how much power is "everyday abuse"? if you will have 6,then 100 per should do it.
there are a lot of variables... quantity,enclosure,size,power,vehicle,build quality...etc...etc..
40 watts rms and 65 max...sure just dont over power them. also why use 8 8's for everyday then use 2 15's for comps. those 8's will have 2x...
you dont have to buy the best to get the hard hitting bass you want.

i plan on dicecting my cap to use its voltage meter.just not sure on where to mount it.
i would check each ch with another speaker/s to see if both are putting out the same power/voltage. i wouldnt know how to use a O scope...
well if you have the room.the 8 8's will have more cone area. what amp do you plan on running the subs you choose
i dont think they will pound out the bass,but thats why we have subs.lol. as mids they should sound the same as a 6x8,5x7 or 6.5s

they should compare with 6x8's and like sized speakers. roughly the same cone area,give or take a few sq inches.
well some 0 gauge for power and grounds will be needed. big 3 for sure.with said 0 guage.
no.just a voltage meter at the 12v plug in the dash. probably not very accurate.i was bored.lol
