as long as the final load will be 1 ohm like you want. both are good choices, the 12's have the ability to get louder.

the earthquake is a good amp but for a lil less you can find a power acoustik amp that puts out the same power.

i know my PG amps only needed 2V to get then going. at one time i had the 215 dual 15 band EQ with 8v of output. i had the gains set low very low....
as long as the power is clean. either sub will be fine with the extra power.
