i assume he means the drive belt for the cassette. all i can say is to take it to a repair shop.
you can set the crossover lower so they will play more mid bass. mine are set to 80HZ and the mid bass is ok.

yes as long as the amp is rated to handle said load. my amp is rated like this.. 250 @4Ω, 450 @2Ω, and 600@ 1Ω. so my subs are wired to 1 Ω.
