i assume your subs are single 4 ohm subs. if you wire them in parallel you would end up with a 2 ohm mono load, not good for that amp. wire them...

i think you may have wired the amps remote to the wrong wire. your head unit should have a remote out labeled either remote out, or power antenna....

if you want more SQ, then a simple sealed box may be what your looking for. you want it to be made with at least 3/4 mdf or birch ply is good too....
