no. you can wire two d4 subs to yeild either 16, 4. or a 1 ohm load.
poly fill is just in case the box is a little too small. not all boxes need fill.

your other options are.... go to one sub. sell your amp and buy a 1 ohm stable amp. tough break.

oh ok. if your smelling your subs in a sealed box... either your box is not 100% sealed or your amp is culprit.
heres a tip. go back there and take a whiff. smell the amp and the port on the box. very simple :)

the audio shop obviously doesn't know that the amp isn't stable to that impedance. running your amp at 1.3 ohms can and will most likely harm it....
yes. with the proper current. use good quality power wire and ground. at least 4 gauge or thicker. an extra batt wont hurt either.

my guess is that anyone adding 2 21 inch subs isnt listening to reg music. if its slowed down stuff the lower tune will make for a nasty low end...

WxHxD divided by 1728 will give you your internal vol. measure using the internal dimensions. then subtract the subs displacement.
