my friend with two hifonics 12s has a california profile 300rmsx2@2ohm amp that does pretty well.
I agree with those entirely, most sealed boxes would be .5-1.5 cu ft smaller than the respective ported box wouldn't they?

typically your HU should be set at around 80hz and the amp between 70 and 80hz
there should be an option in the HU to turn off the internal amplifier to increase RCA performance.
