see im a little each way. Prefab SEALED boxes are fine to me if you match up the cubic airspace to the subs specs. Prefabed ported and bandpass...

over time that box could destroy that sub.. literally.
you can use electrical tape but you want to solder it first if you decide to do that. Just putting tape on it... not going to last very long.
what looks good on paper doesnt always perform in the real world. numbers really only mean so much.

MA Audio, well, its not the worst out there, its cheap but will work. Build the right box for it and tune it right and it would sound just fine.
was the bandpass box built for the exact specifications for that certain sub? Or did you just buy a prebuilt one and throw a sub in there?...
