Since its so dead around here, well besides spammers, How bout we talk about Lila's new stuff. The Olds is getting the semi-racecar treatment done to it over the winter, which is approaching, and i am removing the four 12's. I still want a little bump so I need some suggestions on a nice 10" or a couple 8" subs for the trunk. I want to do a little 4th order that sits in the front of the trunk right behind the back seat with the ports through the deck. So, what do you guys wanna recommend for a couple 8" or a single 10", preferrably 10" for about $150. I wanna keep the weight in the trunk down to a minimum. I am also open to any other suggestions. Oh, and i don't care how much wattage it is cause i will be getting the amp based off the sub i get.
http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_20885_Orion+XTRPRO104.html I heard one of these the other day in a extended cab truck, and it gets pretty loud and sounds good! just a suggestion.. so what are you gonna be driving since Lila is gonna be in the shop?
well, i actually got my liscense taken for 90 days so idk. and i didnt plan on driving the olds during the winter. its really hard on it.
oh, what did you get your license taken for? I got mine taken for 6 months I get it back in March only allowed driving to school and a few other places it sucks!
you guys must drive wild lol. but if you are looking for 8s, i believe sundown is having a pre-sale on their new 8s coming out. i also believe they are about 100 each
nice nice subs, i wish i had the money for 4 of them bad boys. i have a 3.5 cuft box tuned to somewhere around 26~28hz. how would that work?
Tuning is a bit on the low side, IMO, but it would work well. I would suggest tuning it up to 30-35 Hz -- but that is your final call
ok thanks. the box has removable port walls that were added to lower tuning, so taking them out works out fine. im more into enjoying my music and low bass notes.high spl is not a concern. i mostly bass race in the 29.9 class so im good to go.
It's all in the pre-sale thread but I'll copy it over here : "We suggest 0.6 - 1 cube ported tuned to 30-40 hz based on your goals and preferences. Sealed can be utilized but is not optimal for these drivers."
