Need advice with new subs

    To check things quick, I take Fs and divide it by Qes. The result for the woofer you posted wound indicate a sealed box.

    However, you might get away with a larger ported box. For ported, I would recommend 2 cu ft for one woofer and 3-1/2 cu ft for two woofers. I'll load the specs into BassBox this weekend and see what it really likes.

    On the website you posted they are recommending an enclosure size (one woofer) of 3.5 cu ft with a tuning of 55 Hz. Don't you dare even think about that.

    In the real world we wanna do something a little different. Like listening to our music. And for this woofer, 3-1/2 to 4 cu ft (two woofers) should work well. Tuning should be around 38 to 40 Hz. For this woofer I would stay closer to 38 to make it less peaky.

    Personally I would consider shopping around for a different woofer. How big is your amp? How much power RMS value? I am not a big fan of this woofer based on what I see
