ok got some new powerbass extreme 12'' subs. they have dual 2ohm voice coils. that means if i wire + to + and - to - it will have a 1ohm load for each sub right? i had them in a ported box on a 500 watt memphis amp, but i really dont like the sound of a ported box. im goin to put them in a sealed box. these suckers are really heavy too. ill try to get some pics up here soon. the model is xs 12d
if each sub is wired to a 1Ω load and you wired them together then what is the final load? .5 or 2 ohm
um...idk lol i was thinking of runnin each sub on its own memphis pr 500.1 at 1ohm if i could with them being dual 2ohms i could wire each sub to 1ohm right?

how many dual 2 ohms do you have?? because you cant wire two dual 2 ohm subs to 1 ohm, if thats what you are asking.
With a pair you will have either a .5 or 2ohm load. They will take some serious power. I can put about 1800 to each before they get sketchy. I had 16 of them in my truck. Now they be collection dust http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=un9H6nfsqpk
i have 2 dual 2ohm subs at the moment. if i wire each sub in parallel it would be 1ohm right? if i got two memphis 500.1 amps they will run 500 rms at 1ohm. correct me if im wrong.

These are older then th XL line They are the XS line and way better sub IMO then the XL line. Thats correct. Both amps will see a 1ohm load
