cuz i told my friend bout this subs but he told me they should be ****ty for the price they are at...so is he better of w/ the 4 12s or w/ an 11kv3...he wants the best bang for the buck...and this will be his first system
the area for the following speakers was calculated with the cones being flat and not concave...all in sq. inches....all "oval" speakers calculated as being a ellipse. area of circle .7854*D*D Ellipse 3.14*R1*R2 18=254.47 15=176.72 12=113.10 10=78.54 8=50.27 6x9=42.41 7=38.48 6x8=37.70 6.5=33.18 4x10=31.12 5x7=27.49 5.25=21.65
i think im gonna order 8 8" im gonna put half and my frind is gonna put half cuz shipping is bout 70 bucks we will make 2 separate boxes and measure it to see how much spl then he'll take his half and ill take mine lol...can they work as midbass?
thermally....I'm sure they can handle prolly 250-300 watts daily I gave one EHQS 12 300 watts daily and it took it no problem...the dustcap felt warm after some beatin but it didn't smell or anything...took it like nothing
well how does he know about these subs if he has had zero experience for 25 dollars this is one helluva woofer. A guy on the eD forums hit like a 139.x db on the termlab with two of these in a box with like 75 watts on each
dang 139...thats great w/ 2 25 dollars speakers...i was thinking of buying 4 but shipping is 107 bucks...do u think its worthy to pay 200 shipped for 4??
well look around to see if you can find a better deal locally for 4 12's.if you cant, then it's a good deal.lol how much power will these 12's be getting each?
well im planning on using my current amp which gives...300x2 @ 4 ohms, so i can use 4 12s w/ single 2 ohms...also can i use 2 separate boxes and put 2 in one and 2 in the other?? cuz this ill be like a project i wanna do w/ my friend and then he'll take 2 and ill keep 2...
you can have them all in one box or all in seperate boxes it doesn't really matter as long as you're using one amp so you know each sub is getting identical power.
im not gonna do the project w/ my friend so these suggestions are for him he wants a high spl/loud setup his budget is $200 subs and $300 amps
yup...they are good. Ranger has had really good results with the entry level ones. He installed a couple 12s in his sons car and said they pounded harder than his sons friends JL 12s. http://www.caraudiotalk.com/audio-f...abrication/3714-submitted-your-critque-2.html
ok cool cuz i want 4-6 subs...cuz i measured my van yesterday again and it did a 136.9 which is less than the first time i measured it
wow,my 10 did a best of 136.6.my average on the iasca meter is 135.5. your 2 15's should be doing way better.
