New box (still in the making)

well, i hooked everything back up. I got ****ed because i still have a whine when i finished. Screwed around with a few things and i found out that my audiocontrol was the problem. So now, i'm using the stereo and my eD bass knob and no whine. I redid my stereo grounds so no hiss or whine now. I just got kinda ****ed that my audiocontrol did that to me. i may change the rca's from the stereo to the audiocontrol to see if that was the problem. with the RCA's hooked up with no amp i was still getting a whine over my tweets. Anyway, problem is solved for now. Thank god! Now i just have a useless audiocontrol below my head unit.

I still have to adjust my gains but I love the sound of the new box! I get really nice lows now but i don't think they are pushing hard enough so i have to get the DMM out and make some adjustments.

 

thanks! so i guess i just won't use it for now. I actually like the sound better without it in the mix. I have better midbass than i had before and the sub sounds a lot better too.

Did you end up changing the diode in your audiocontrol?

 

thanks! I'll get the vids in a day or so. I still have to reset the gain in both of my amps cuz i'm no longer using my audiocontrol so it threw everything off.

 

Thanks pedro. I still have to finish the back cover on the box. I made some adjustments on the amp last night and damn! It has never sounded this good! I'm really happy with the way my system sounds now. When i took the THREE.1 out of the mix it made a world of difference. I actually have mid bass now!

I'm loving everything now. it sounds awesome now. I put up the gain on my nine.1 and the bass really kicks hard! I haven't played much rap or bass music yet but i'm going to really test it out tonight when i get home. My wife took my car today so i can't play around with it.

My mids and highs are great now. I wasn't thinking much of my DLS until now, man do they sound sweet! I'm not changing them now. NO WAY. I do want to add some tweets in my sail panels now though. I'm looking for some focal aluminum tweets for there so i can switch to the sail panel tweets when i want to listen to music outside the car.
