You guys probably get these questions a lot from newbies, like myself. So, I apologize for that. Also, sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong forum. Anyways onto the question: My Civic's stock casette/radio is this, As of now, it has 12 wires coming from the car to the stereo. The only slot on the connector it is not using is the "Motor Ant." (I don't know why, I just opened it up, and that's the way it is.) This is the CD Player I'm trying to put in now, Now, what I am wondering is from the CD player which wire would meet with the "ACC?" Also, which wire of the CD player would meet with "Battery Backup?" Sorry if this is really confusing, since I don't know the name of the wires coming from the car. I'm just using the names of the old cassette connector, if that makes sense... Any help is greatly appreciated!
The ACC goes to the red wire and the yellow goes to Battery Back Up But to make life easier, lets not cut the factory plug off. NO installer would do that. Get a plug for whatever your car is and keep it simple
