Just wanted to know what you think of these soundstream amps.. Only reason why i'm really asking is cuz they are really cheap.. SOUNDSTREAM XTREME XTA880.2 SOUNDSTREAM XTA480.4
how cheap is cheap? i know a guy that runs 2 on his subs, strapped at 2 ohms and even though he wasnt getting rated power they were still pumping those subs.(engine off) i'm hopefully going back to his shop for a show this month.i'll get pics, and vids.
SOUNDSTREAM XTREME XTA880.2 - roughly $177 - shipped SOUNDSTREAM XTA480.4 - roughly $143 -shipped They come out cheaper than the Hifonics amps but of couse the XTA 880.2 has less power but they are soundstream.
well, My father is going back to the U.S. at the end of the month so I have to make a final decision. I know that i'll just get 2 12" CVR's, I'm still kinda confused on the amps. I'm either going with Hifonics or Soundstream. I like the look of the soundstream but i'm still not sure.
ok, if i get the SOUNDSTREAM XTREME XTA880.2. here's the specs: # Number of Channels 2 # RMS Power (4 ohms) 220 watts x 2 channels # RMS Power (2 ohms) 440 watts x 2 channels # RMS Power (1 ohm) Not Stable # Bridged RMS Power 880 watts # Peak Power Output 1760 watts approx. # Minimum Impedance Unbridged 2 ohms # Minimum Impedance Bridged 4 ohms # THD at Rated RMS Power 0.05% # Speaker Level Inputs No # Preamp Outputs Yes - 1 pair # Built-in Crossover Yes - HP / LP # High-Pass Crossover Frequency 50 - 500 Hz # Low-Pass Crossover Frequency 30 - 500 Hz # Subsonic Filter N/A # Signal-to-Noise Ratio 96 dB # Channel Separation N/A # Bass Boost 0 - 18 dB # Bass/Gain Remote N/A # Fan Cooled No # Fuse Rating 30 A x 3 would it be better to use two 12" CVR's at 2ohms and wire them one to each channel or should i just get 2 12" CVR's at 4ohms and bridge the amp?
the 2 ohm stereo and 4 ohm mono rating is the same output.880. what you could do for max boom is run 4 subs.2 on each ch at 220 per sub rms.you have the room.
880 watts to that 15 is going to be insane! i have only...ONLY..220 to my 10 and its enough for me. i couldnt imagine what 880 in the right box would do to that 15.
I hope it won't be too much. I heard your video with you L5 10" @ 220 watts and that sounded real good. I liked the appearance of spongebob! my daughters couldn't stop laughing when they saw that.
Well my friend has a couple 15L7's in a small ported box I built a while back...only one sub is hooked up getting 1000 watts. It sounds alright. I'm sure I can make this 15L5 beat real good
at the time I just wanted a little bass, then of course you always want a lot more. I'm not going to retire the xplode though, I'll just stick it in my wifes CRV. She's been complaining that her sound system has no bass at all (all stock). That should make her happy.
