    ok here we go.....

Ok so im gonna start to design my suv's entire audio setup.
ok so i pretty much spent all last night looking through products and this is the setup i came up with.

*gonna get damplifier pro from second skin aprox. 36 square feet. (ordered)
*gonna go with KAPPA PERFECT 6.1 for door speakers front and back, and then kappa four for the amp.
*gonna get the pioneer avh-p6300 for the head unit.
*gonna use stinger wire all the way around
*for subs im gonna get 2 fi bl 15s
*As for amps im gonna go with 2 aq 2200ds
*not sure on batteries have not got there yet. ( anyone recommend anything?!)
*gonna get 2 300 amp alts. ( not sure where from or what brand yet) anyone recommend anything?!
*gonna build the box too about 10 cubes tuned to 32hz

thats about all i have right now. if there is anything you recommend other than that let me know.

    thanks in advance.

    XS power makes great batts...

what kind of suv is this going into?

are you planning on doing a lot of competing? not sure you will need 2 300 amp alts unless you need to recharge you batts up quickly between runs.. you should be able to get away with one alt and run 4~6 batts instead.

i have plenty of competitor friends that run one alt on several batteries on much more power than you plan.

yeah ive heard of xs batts. just kinda expensive lol
most likely its going into a Tahoe, im going out this weekend to look around.
nah def not any competing. i just like lots of bass..
i wouldn't need the alts even if i played it for long periods of time, like a couple hours.

if your running with your car on the alt will help keep your batts charged, but if your going to be running with the car off get as many batts as you can. otherwise one 300 amp alt and at least 4 good sized batts should do you fine.

i have a friend with a crescendo bc3500 with 4 batts total on a stock gm alt in an 87 blazer and he can demo for hours.

actually going to a get together tonight at USF in tampa.

what about if i plan on doing both. cause im a beach person so i plan on playing on the beach alot. so yeah i plan on having it off for a long period of time.
ive been thinking alot, and looking into how much this was all gonna cost, i was not worried about the price until i found the car i wanted and it was more than i was wanting to pay for a car. so i might change my setup just a little bit. just go with one of the aq 3500d and save myself a little money and be able to just use the one alt and 2 or 3 batts.
plus changing my door speakers and amps, so i can save myself money. cause i would really like to get this going and finish my project before i have to go underway.

if you plan on playing your system at the beach a lot then your going to need more batts, plain and simple.unless you can turn off your sub amp because its going to suck power.

if thats the case just get yourself a good portable ipod dock/boom box and a power inverter and your good to go. thats what i do when i tailgate for a while.

another option is getting a battery isolator so you can run down your audio batts and still start your car up. be sure your audio batts are made to be drained over and over.
