I just bought two Alpine type S 4 ohm DVC subs (got a good deal). Now I want to decide how to wire them to my 2 channel amp. Now, my amp puts out 600 watts rms at 4 ohms bridged. It also puts out 300 rms x 2 at 2 ohms. So, my question is, should I bridge the amp and wire the subs for 4 ohms, or just run one sub to each channel at 2 ohms? It's the same wattage, I'm just wondering if one way is better than the other. Thanks in advance for any help.

You would be better off wiring the subs up at 2 ohms each and running them stereo. Besides the same amount of power, it also allows for slightly better damping factor, which is the amps control over the speakers movement.
