Which is better? JVC ARSENAL KD-AHD59 vs Kenwood Excelon KDC-X493

Both have key features that I want: USB and AUX on the front. But I'm concerned about the RMS and volts. Which of the two is most important?

    Kenwood Excelon KDC-X493 :
    50x4 watts
    22x4 rms
    4 volts

    JVC ARSENAL KD-AHD59
    50x4 watts
    20x4 rms
    5 volts

I'm leaning towards the Kenwood because of excellent reviews and pricing. But it's lacking built-in HD radio. Does the 1 extra volt from JVC provide better sound reproduction or does the 22x4 rms from Kenwood provide better sound reproduction?

So I guess, this is more of a RMS vs volt question. Which is more important?

are you adding a amp for your mids/highs? if so, the rms of the headunit would be irrelevant.

I don't plan on adding an amp. I only plan on upgrading the head unit, front speakers, and rear speakers.

Some add'l specs I forgot to mention.
    The kenwood offers 110dB.
    The JVC offers 98.

I don't plan on add'ing an amp nor subs in the feature.

if thats the case, i wouldnt worry about the pre-out volts...also, 1 or two extra watts rms isnt really going to make a difference imo. take a look into some alpine headunits, they have great sounding internal amps and they work great too

How can I find out if the JVC or Kenwood models have a good internal amps.
What is it that makes Alpine amps better?

Peronally I like the Kenwood. I have run Kenwood for years and it was reliable and it performed well. As far as the wattage differance, 2-watts RMS difference is not something you could hear, so it don't matter.

Again I do prefer Kenwood over JVC.

    Your speaker choice looks good
