alright fellas well i have my 2 10" L5 kickers in a single chamber box and i did the measurements and it has a total of 4.25 cuft and i want 2 port it any suggetions or wat ahould i do
It would be better to just make a new vented box for those subs instead of trying to work with the current box that you have.
It's possible to port the box you have now...weird though cuz most sealed boxes for 10's are no where near that big lol.
well i might be able to help. those 10's work well in ported boxes as small as 1.5 cf and as big as 2.25 each. so 4.25 ported would be just right for them. just tune them right and your in business.
http://www.reaudio.com/speaker_box/LPort_Box_Calc.html the guy that built my box used this. only thing he messed up on was after he figured the size for the box he built in as a 2 chamber and thru the calculations off. a lot.
The box electro has designed is 15" in height, 40" in length and 17" deep. It needs a 4" diameter port (round) that's 9.691" deep. The box will be tuned to 34hz.
Ya what he said lol, but it's two 4 inch ports-pvc pipe by 9.691 inches long. So you just need to cut two 4 inch holes in your box on the same side as the subs and put in the two pvc pipes which will tune your box to 34hz
I think that's where electro screwed up. I think that's for 12" L5. electro, is that for one or two subs? 10" or 12" L5?
maybe you could give the measurements of your box you have right now and electro could see if he could work with it.
