so yea apparently i picked up a pretty bad virus lol took Geek Squad at Best Buy like 2 weeks to clean up my lap top just dropping by to say THATS where ive been and apparently ive missed ALOT lol some news about what ive been up to: i finally fully hacked the GM nav unit offered as an option in my car and added it (it looks SOOOO much better than an aftermarket) i also hacked it for video and audio in pics, info and my write up can be seen here on that How To Install Factory Navigation to Non-Nav Cars - Cadillac Owners but feels good to be back ladies and gents
You really need to try Windows BBS - Help and Support forum for Microsoft Windows. "A Wealth of Windows Knowledge". These guys are really good. I had a problem a while back and it was dealt with very quickly. I Still Have A Problem - Windows BBS Next time give them a try. Some advice they gave me, Download IESpyad.exe, double click to extract (it extracts to C:\IESpyad by default), open the folder, double click the ie-ads.reg file and allow it to merge into the registry. Check occasionally for updates. Download and install SpywareBlaster. Enable all protections, check for updates and enable them too. Check for updates occassionally and install them when applicable. There is alot more computer advice there Glad your back
i use both of those everytime i reinstall or do some work on someone elses computer, very little spyware will ever get through.
lol the virus was so bad even in SAFE mode i couldnt get at the thing to kill it it embedded itself within windows and would re-download ANYTIME i started the computer up the background on my lap top became a link to download the virus too, anytime i could click an icon or anything on the desktop the virus again would re-download.... believe me it was bad...
