I just bought 2 Kicker L7 15s and a 2200w 2 Ohm amp to power the subs. The guy I bought everything from use to own a car audio shop and was tryin to tell me that since I have and '01 Ford F150 that im going to need to upgrade my battery instead of buying a capacitor. So now im wondering if he means to take out my current battery and replace it with a better one? Or add an additional battery altogether. I don't want to make this a huge project, so if an additional battery needs additional wires im not down for it. What you guys think?

well I would just suggest doing the big three upgrade, and if alot of dimming and voltage drop occurs then I would worry about upgrading the battery etc.

big 3, upgrade your front battery is a must man..if that amp is putting out a true 2200 rms, then a HO alt is needed too, along with a batt in the back.
