sub box

    okay so im building a box and i was stumped on where i should place my sub the box is 2.2 cubic feet and i was thinking on putting it on the side but the wife said it might be better if i put it on the top with the 4'' tube port what should i do?

    need more info please. in a trunk,hatch or van floor??

    make model too, of vehicle.

    a Chrysler intrepid in the trunk 12'' alpine type R sub.

    I have my subs and port both facing the back so when you open the trunk they are facing you.My box is about 6" away from the trunk latch.My car is a grand prix and also has a big trunk like yours,but this is what sounds best in my car.

    I would place the sub on the same side as the port and have them facing towards the back like said in the post above

    Thanks for the tip yeah thats what i did i have it all built and hooked up the box is facing the back there, now all i need to do is upgrade on my 6x9s and the door speakers that ill be hooking them up to an amp.
