Hi all, need help with a new stereo we just put in our car. It is a DVD/CD/MP3/Tuner set up from Sound Storm Labs Model SD632C. We live in New Zealand and this unit is from USA. We have hooked it up as per wiring diagram and all seems to "go" however the sound for the DVD/CD/MP3 functions sounds like it is in a "higher key" almost a little chipmunk like LOL. The radio is fine.... any ideas? Husband has checked that he has matched all power wires to the corresponding wires in wiring loom of car. He has plugged in wires to go to the amp & sub in the back of the unit, but hasn't actually put those in the car yet....could that affect it?
If the radio sounds fine, then the wiring is probably OK. So lets look at the CD, does it play OK in your home player? If so then its your radio.
thanks, the cd is fine on another player. We have tried the USB connection and loaded music on a USB flash drive but the sound has the same problem and so does any DVD's. Wondering if it is something to do with different power voltage or something.... but then if that was the case, the radio wouldn't work!!!
Good, now lets see whats going on. I still think its the Head Unit. One last thing, how does it sound with just a normal CD, no MP3.
the cd sounds distorted in car but normal on player in house. DVD plays normal in house but sound is distorted in car. (picture is fine)
