Hello everybody, I have a 2008 Kawasaki Concours 14 (it's a bike not a car) I have fited 2 speakers with a hidden amplifier. It was doing great until my last wash.. Some water went into one of the speaker and it fried.. I am looking then to replace it. Its a 4 Ohms, 8 watts, 3 or 3,5 inch wide.. Do you know where I can get that?? Thanks for your help
I would suggest looking online for some "marine" grade speakers. They are more resistant to water splash. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/cat_i31_3-1-2--speakers.html http://www.gooddeals18.com/product/...motorcycle-marine-speakers-chrome--black.html
like he said "marine" and even with those, tri not to get water in/on them. it would probably help if you seal the back of the speakers off real good too. gl
Thanks for your quick and accurate answers... From what I see from the links you gave me, I feel those 3,5 inches speakers are too big.. The old speakers seems to be more 3inches.. Measuring the diameter from holes to holes = 78mm 3inches speakers are more difficult to get...

Hey guys I made a mistake in saying in my last reply that its 78mm wide. I was in Ireland and my speaker was in France so I wrote by memory Now I am back in Paris and I did the measurement again Here is the answer Around 85mm = 3,33 inches So is it a 3 or 3,5 inches speakers??? I am quite lost there THanks for your answer....
Thanks for your answers I am back to France (I was in ireland) and I remeasured the diameter (last reply I answer by memory) Here is the results in photo around 85mm = 3,33 inches So is it 3 or 3,5 inches speakers? I am lost Thanks again
just use an online conversion to go from metric to inches. Wait...didnt france invent the metric system? I FREEKIN HATE the metric system!!! LOL!!! (no, I really do hate the metric system but just wanna give you a hard time about it! )
yeah and as i previously said it's giving me 3,33 inches However i got the thing sorted. Its a Tang Band 3 inches speakers. Found some replacement parts for it. Just a question about the material used to it There are some available with PP or Paper cone .. Which one is the best one for a motobike? I mean against humidity.. Merci
