I'm leaving tomorrow morning for a funeral. This is all last moment and I need room in my car for alot of luggage, so I need to remove my 2 JL 12W6 and 1000/1 amp. Do I just unconnect everything with the car off? I'm sorry for such newbie questions, but I am. Are there safety concerns with leaving those wires unattached to anything during the trip? Please help, needed very badly. Thanks
The safest way to remove the setup is to disconnect the ground wire from the battery...then remove the inline fuse Then after this you can go ahead and disconnect all of the wire and hide them away and remove the setup...The only wire that you will need to tape up is the remote lead. The power and ground will not need to be taped up There you go...and sorry to hear about the sudden death (I assume) There is no need for apologies about noobish questions...we are here to help
