http://aolsvc.news.aol.com/news/article.ad...214055309990001 Very interesting, looks like the real deal. DNA tests and $750,000 stashed back in hiding with him. Maybe the insurgent attacks will stop and we wont lose any more American lives.
Personally I feel this will not change a thing, but who knows......... I personally feel we need to pull out of the middle east, find new sources for our oil, and let them kill eash other, then go back once they are all dead, and take all the oil we need after out alternative sources have died up in a few thousand years
i dont see what the big deal is with oil and the middle east. we get 4% of our oil from the middle east. most of it comes from venezuela...where its like .20/gallon--crazy stuff. im in the national guard, so i probably shouldnt say this, but i disagree strongly with how the contracts for rebuilding iraq are working out. they have 300 BILLION bucks in oil, why do WE have to pay to rebuild their country? not only that, but the company doing it gets free reign to charge what they want for it. eric
show me the stats where only 4% comes from the middle east???? Opec, contorl 60-70% of the words supply, Sudi Abria Controls like 50% of opecs supply
We actually do get less than 50% of our oil from the Mid-East. In fact, between Alaska, California, and Fla we could supply our country as well as sell to other countries throughout the world. It is a political thing, plus they talk about "military supply". Funny, have you ever lived neat an AFB? I worked right at the main gate of El Toro MCAS. every 2 weeks they would burn tens of thousands of gallons of unused jet fuel . Anyhoo, I agree wwith you Nizzy. Frankly I think the best man won the election last time around (and that doesn't say much for Al Gore ). However, Bush sends our military over there to battle Saddam, and while they were over there he CUT VA benefits. Send them into the toilet then shit on their heads while they are there. Funny, a whole lot of Republican Financial supporters are getting these jobs over there, while our boys are dying in a new Vietnam, where we aren't wanted by the very people we are there to "fight for". Sounds like a dictator striving for self-preservation... and no, I'm not talking about Saddam. The capture of Saddam is a good thing (if it is true, which I question, funny at this time near elections a guy that simply "kinda" looks like Saddam is captured, Hmmmm) however, the killing will not end. My feeling is that military opposition and Sadam's sympathisers are going to turn up the heat a notch (remember, there have been a rash of bomings in the mid-east since then, all against US allies, sympathisers and supporters). Alot more of our boys are going to die. But at least republican backers can be assured of financial gains in the future, paid for by you and I . By the way, the above comments come from a Republican who is fed up with what the Bushs have done to our country. I love the deal with the 12 million Illegals being allowed to recieve SS and other benefits that I am paying for. I'm also glad that he keeps cutting taxes, and cutting taxes, putting the country back into debt, so they can be raised again to make up for his fuck-ups... but hey, at least it should be enough to get him re-elected. I hate to say it, but Clinton was FAR better then the Bushs could even imagine being... also of worthwhile note, Clinton's economic policy that the Republicans bashed so heavily, were simply Reganomics... the best financial plan this country has ever seen, and devised by a Republican . I gotta end this. I have had a few beers and if I climb on my political pulpit like this, it may get ugly .
im sorry, i incorrectly remembered my numbers. i did some reading and it wasnt quite as i remembered...but the point remains, i think the reasons for being in iraq are fubar. just as with seth, i grew up a republican, but know that im learning more about politics, i refuse to vote republican. the rich are supposed to get tax cuts, at the cost of social security and other government programs, while the poor lose their social security (WHICH THEY PAID INTO!). i still dont like al gore, but i wish he would have become our leader, because i think we would likely be better off right now. i think that we took over iraq for control of the oile, and that is NOT right. we have the rich legalizing whatever they damn well feel like doing because they can pay the lobbyists. i want the lobbyists the F*CK outta my government. they cater to the few and screw the many. eric
I hate to tell you both, but our problems are FAR FAR FAR from being a single Person, Bush is NOT the problem... he is not the solution either, nor do i say I like him (or any other politacian, Clition Sucked, Bush Sucks, Bush Sr Sucked, they all Suck, Exepct of the one the fbi/cia killed JFK) But are problemms lie in the 300+ Fat Cats on Conrgess ALL OF THEM or worthless SOB's every person elected in to a Federal public Office and most State Offices in the lest 2 decades are not worth the sweat that come off my balls in august.
how true how true :ss: i realize its not all bush, but he's certainly not helping anything. i think the worst thing thats going on is allowing the lobbyists to buy laws that benefit them. if we could stop that, it would be a huge step in the right direction. eric
Eric..you are my friend...and bro..and i love you....but you are a dumbass.... Only liberals think its about oil...thats hippy talk.... The fact is....you don't know....The fact is...bush walked into Congress saying the facts are so heavily weighed that Iraq is an immediate threat that when i come out of here...there will be an overwhelming majority vote to proceed....and thats what happend.... Something ... definatly happend... Never was about oil in the first place....back in early 90's... What if Kuwait was England?.... What if England got taken over by Iraq..... Do you think we would have sat on our asses then? No.... we'd have been right there in the streets busting ass just like we did in kuwait... Wanna know why the focus is on oil.....? Its the most used natural resource in the world besides water my friend...and the crazy bastard was setting the wells on fire and dumping entire pipelines into our ecosystem...it took some 2 or more YEARS to put all the well fires out .... and nothing was done to him for it....2 years of some wells flowwing TONS OF OIL ASH INTO YOUR AIR MAN....which is soaked up into clowds and into your water systems... Do not forget this is the same f*cknut that was testing chemical weapons on his own people.... Something was found that would have been catastrophic to let go anymore... DO NOT ...forget who this was.... I do agree...we should pay for nothing..... I agree...we should have pulled out long ago allthough its hard to say that after they just found the bastard... Fact is we can supply ourselves with oil for many years without raising prices...but some order of control rich punks raise the prices arbitrarily to buy a new yacht every now and then...The alaskan pipeline and the gulf rigs alone can carry the entire country easily the rest is cash crop.... fact is..we stock pile it....use other countries oil to conserve our own resources.... The evidence that was shown to congress may not have been chemical weapons you must understand this....that may have been a smoke screen but what if it was Swiss Bank account statements showing mountains of money being washed from BinLadins accounts into iraq or vise versa to support one or the other....or to buy yellow cake....there is no telling....if one was even trying to move in that direction it would have been good enough reason to flatten the entire mountain range as far as i'm concerned. If you think this is about greed and oil...whos getting it....whos makin all the money from the oil if you think its us?... Come on man.... I don't like the fact that my brothers have been back and forth to the hell hole anymore than you do...but yo....when somebody has to step up and regulate....if everybody else is spineless...its kinda up to the good man to either let it happen and say nothing or stand up and bust a punkarse.....yea or nea? Bad things happend when good men do nothing. Ya'll wanna talk about Halliburton?....I worked hand in hand with them...yeah...i worked on a drilling rig for years.... <---class I roughneck first mate on the Hathcock Rig when i was 18yrs old i was running rods in the ground and slingin steel ..... Halliburton is the only company with enough resourses to do something like that in the first place...they have the communications and techniques to run rigging and even reverse flows... they are the best in the business and any rig company will tell you that....when we pumped cement around the opening of our wells and deep settings....Halliburton was on site pumping cement from 2 rigs coupled together watching the pressure on laptops commumincating with headsets and state of the art techniques... They also have the raw man power to send out there to do the medial tasks ... everything from cleanup crews to sandwitchmakers....better to have one company doin that kind of stuff to keep the flow of money accounted for.... More on this later tonight..i'm at work and have to leave now....but i can break down alot of this subject....
Well All I have to say is Money Makes the world Go Rourd Nothing Happens in the world iwht out money being a Factor, oil == money ro oil is a factor The population of Iraq could have rebelled Dont say they could not, countless times through out history populations have rebelled against their leaders with much less resources than the iraq people had... but this is a endless topic., personall I am tired of this contryu being the worlds police force, or the worlds big brother, there are toooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo many internatl problems for us to worry about everyone else
Sorry bout this, dont mean to steer this topic off course, but       Seriously, I didn't see it coming, and was rolling on this end. It's all good though nizzy, we all have our opinions and thoughts on the matter. I really dont know even 10% of all there is to know on this subject, so I will refrain from putting in my opinion, mainly because I dont have one. All I can do as a citizen is trust that my goverment will do what is best for me and this nation we call home, and since there are troops over there, hope they come home safely. Just my .02 cents on the matter.
and that is at the core of everything that is WRONG in this nation tooo many people sit ideally by and let the government decide for them, what the furture holds they work for YOU, you dont work for them I dont trust them one iota, I trust the crack whore on the corner not to blow the next guy she sees for a 8ball more than I trust the government
The population of Iraq tried to rebel....several times and were slaughtered in the streets and held as lower class citizens and killed at random.... Impossible to overtake a government when you are killed for holding meetings and you have no guns.......basically it comes down to... Throwing rocks at tanks...... ever pee RIGHT INTO and oncoming breeze? I do however think the same as many Americans do... We should not be the police of the world.....cept for backing our friends when its time to get ill...i don't think we should just step in when the first shot is fired though...... let them duke it out.... if our homies start gettin their asses handed to them...then i say "aight...... bust ass" My personal opinion about the middle east......let them all kill eachother.....we'll figure it out later they been doin it for 2000years anyway..... first one to lay a hand on Isreal dies..... period. Other than that let them roll the dice.... Isreal has had to build a great wall LOL..that had to cost..and the palistinians still come into the city and randomly kill eachother and others..... Isreal retaliates with Gunship assaults in the streets and kills PLO leaders and other nutcases and a couple civilians get killed in the process and the Palistinians cry foul?!?!?!?!?!.... wanna know what i don't understand...... those whackos look forward to dieing......but you always see them rushing eachother to the hospitol when one gets wounded ... why? None of that stuff makes any sense to me.......
Money factor..... hmmmm What did Bin Laden stand to gain monitarily from Attacking us? Nothing.......he is a radical nutjob that needs his yang cut off and thrown in the worst prison with the sodomites with some lipstick..... Its not always about money.....besides...i don't remember seeing anything of value in pakistan......maybe a pretty rock or a handbag.....
pakistan has nukes, they are very valulbe and we are tlaking about IRAQ, not Bin Laden, I have never once seen proof of the link, and never will, nor have you you trust that the government that has lied and lied and lied and lied is telling the turth in this one instance
It all ties in together...read a lil closer.... And no...i havn't seen proof...never said i did... the fact is...we don't know what was shown.....what ever it was....it was enough for the congress to say "GO FOR IT" and thats RARE!!!!......If you havn't noticed ...THEY HATE EACHOTHER..and will rarely pass a bill that benifits us unless it has a spin of their own on it...not even for elderly..... if they all come together at one time....its for real serious "somebody finna DIE if we don't do something" And no....nukes are not valuable to us.....we have enough to blow up the entire world 400 times.... its like selling an eskimo some snow....... The only truth you have to remember is we were attacked by BinLaden....and when we bucked up to Iraq BinLaden backed Iraq declaring a holy war again....so ...inturn that means the friends of your enemies are also your enemies... if thats all ya got to stand on then stand on it....... Do i trust the government...HELL NO...but i have more common sense to think it was all about oil...because you don't see use capping off oil heads and pumping them into boats and toating it back here for our own use....hard to hide a tanker filling up. And its always about the lesser of 2 evils...both parties voted for nafta and its killing us....... the Government does not have my best interests in mind all the time.... I don't trust much about them at all.....but i honestly think we were better off having bush in office than that limpwristed hippy gore..... i'd rather somebody get mad and send in the devil dogs than call up somebody and make peice like Clinton did.... (blackhawk down).
Whatth everth I never said gore would have been better, I did not vote for either of them, I hate both parties with a passion, I hate all parites, I hate all politains, I hate anyone that supports any aspect of the government
Ironically, I voted for Bush solely because I wanted to avoid war in the middle east... Remember, Gore was running with Leiberman. Lieberman had an Israeli citizenship. Oddly, I thought THAT might spark something off in the middle east... it's one thing to be an ally to Israel... it's another thing to have the impresion that there's actually what might be perceived to be "an Iraeli" as a top official in the US government. The prospects of that were frightening... Honestly, that was my only basis behind my vote. I never imagined (I'm sure no one could have) the events that transpired that launched us overseas... and I certainly wasn't picturing "Daddy's vendetta" to play out.
Daddy's vendeta isn't what got us there... 9/11 is... Stayed to clear up some other foolishness remember what happend...never forget......
