Today Ronald Regan passed away at 93 years old. Republican or Democrat I think we can all agree he was a great president. He was the founder of Reganomics, the economic program that helped significantly reduce the deficit both in his tenure, and Clinton's tenure as president (under the guise of "Clinton's economic policy")... Leave it to the Bushs to ruin and eliminate a good thing . Anyways, may he be remembered as the great man he was... 1911-2004
An awesome president. If people could actually look past the liberal rhetoric and see what was actually accomplished in his presidency, they would agree. His tax cuts made tax revenues skyrocket. He hammered the final nail in the coffin known as communism. He started and promoted deregulation that his successors took credit for (as the effects took place after Reagan's presidency ended). He promoted self reliance and capitalism like no president before or since. This country needs another Ronald Reagan as president.
I agree, he was the best presidant of my life time.. and probally will remain at that position for the rest of my life... Looking back he probally was the best since JFK, how sad is that, we can only get a good presidant once every few decades
It's doubly interesting, that this highly accomplished President started out as an actor... simply in that you wouldn't think of an actor as necessarily being (certainly not needing to be) even an intelligent person - and most often, actors certainly not being wise, regardless of intelligence. His passing is sad, but it's nice to know he lived a long life. It really saddens me to see young people, who haven't experienced many Presidencies (and I mean that in the sense of "being old enough to care") who believe that Bush is doing a fantastic job. This is one case where "with age comes wisdom"... ...but it's only because it takes time for Presidencies to pass. May many people think of Reagan come election day, for even a brief moment, as they ponder their choices... and I certainly don't mean voting by political party (I frown on that personally). People should remember former Presidencies, the potential greatness that the office can yield, and not settle for the status-quo... particularly when the status quo is so harmful, so hypocritical, so deceptive. May we all (in honor of Reagan?) try to work towards bringing the office of the President of the United States back to one of honor and respect... whether that is this year, or even if you regard this year as a mere stepping stone in the right direction to an even more optimistic hope 4 years down the road. God bless this great man.
