i had my system installed for me and my kenwood headunit has an option where i can control the subwoofer level well a couple of months later my battery died so when i switched the batteries out it obviously reset all of the settings now i can no longer control my subs and i was wondering if any of you knew how to get that setting back i tried connecting and disconnecting the rca and nothing. i will respond with exactly what kenwood headunit i have as soon i can but if anyone knows how to make this setting comeback i will greatly appreciate it. thanks

there is a way to turn on and off the subs i think it was by pressing the right button down for about 2 or three seconds and that will turn on the sub

    Go to

    ftp://inform.kenwoodusa.com/Manuals/

and you can find the directions for all Kenwood models there. They will be in downloadable .pdf files.

Download the file KDC X589, your model will be included in this file

Your welcome, if you have any problems downloading the file let me know.

Now lets see if I remember, is you subcontrol turned on/off by holding down the AM button for 2 to 3 seconds?

Welcome! That happened to me too when i switched amps around, i wasn't aware that i had hooked up the wrong rca going to the back on the back of the deck, it was plugged into the rear output not the sub output so i no longer had control of the sub gain. Took me a while to figure that one out lol.
