in history and business classes they usually say that war is generally good for the economy. are there any companies that would be good to invest in that would make a gain if/when we go to war?
War is not inherantly "good" for anything, including the economy Just before war the "market" gets scared and stocks dropp, and then they go back to "normal" after awhile However this time is going to eb differant We already have a VERY VERY VERY weak economy (contry to what has been reported) and I look for use to see another depression real soon. Personally I would not invest at all,
The market will probably rise a bit if we go to war, but like Mike said, it won't get us out of this recession. I've currently got some shares in RF Micro Devices (RFMD), but i don't plan to make any more moves because of the war.
