The custom enclosure ive ordered is sealed but plenty enough air space for me to port it.the sub i want to use requires box to be ported.i have my port diameter and depth from the specs.....my question is that the enclosure is an odd shape(custom center console enclosure for my rear seat in crew cab Titan).does it matter where i put the port?also will the sub sound good firing straight up in a crew cab truck?thanks

Typically we like to see the port on the same baffle as the woofer. This is the ideal situation. But we can not always get what we want. The port can face in any direction we want (except pointing in the opposite direction from the woofer) as long as it has no obstruction in front of it.
