Hi everyone, I'm new to the forums. I bought a used 04 civic last November. It came with a Pioneer DEH-2100IB pre-installed. A very nice unit that I enjoyed. But for some reason, last week, when I turned my car on, the unit would not power up. The entire display was blank. I tried holding the power button, but nothing happened. I took the car to my mechanic. He checked all the fuses and said that everything was fine. Must be a problem with the unit. I tried removing the unit, but I don't have the Pioneer extraction keys. I tried using jewlers screw drivers, but that didn't work either. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for the help!
eBay might be your best bet to get some keys as just done a quick search and <£2. Not 100% sure they would fit your head unit though but might be worth a go Pete.
if you have access to old credit cards you can cut them into strips to use as keys. ive done this before in a pinch with old gift cards.
