This just happened yesterday. I have been using a Nano 5G plugged in to a Pioneer AVH3100DVD via the front USB plug. Been working fine for several months. It comes on when I start the car, pioneer shows controls & it shuts down when I turn off the car. Never had an issue. Yesterday when I got back in the car after a stop the Pioneer would not recognize the iPod. At this point, when I plug in the USB cable, the Pioneer shows "Format Read" then nothing. Doesn't say "no device". The iPod display shows the song info & that it is connected to an accessory. iPod used to display the Pioneer receiver by name, as the device plugged into. At any rate, the iPod doesn't work through the car stereo any longer & I have no idea what to do. I had not updated software on either unit. Don't know if I can on the Pioneer. Any suggestions are appreciated. I have turned off the Pioneer, but don't know how to actually reset it, if it's possible. P.S. The Pioneer USB input still works with a USB flash drive. ID's & plays fine. Thanks, kev
Yeah, thanks. I did that. Restored the iPod via iTunes & at first it was not working, but giving a different error. (2-62). Then I power cycled the Pioneer again & it worked. Oh well, at least during the down time I got my Zune remote working with the Zune 80 in a dock. Although, the Pioneer has always been touchy. Sometimes it displays the video from the Zune & other times I cannot make it work no matter what I try. It is currently not showing video!!! Actually the iPod works better in my installation as it powers off/on with the radio. The Zune does not & if I turn it off, I have to re-enable the video out to the Pioneer each time. So, the Zune 80 for trips & the iPod for around town. That'll work. Thanks, kev
