Here's a couple of pictures, from my friends house, he bought this car for $500 and asked me, what do I think of his system, that came with car.. the power wire goes through passenger floor board under car up to alternator. last picture is of two old subs, and get this, the subs are not even screwed into box.. After consulting with friend, I told him to scrap the whole system, and lets rewire the whole car. I have some newer used subs, I would sell him for a good deal and pimp his ride (J/k)...as for the HU location, I wasn't able to take anymore pics ...I couldn't tell you, what wire goes to what....
That speaker box looks like it goes in a truck with it the subs facing forward. The cutout in the middle goes right in the middle of the bottom of the floor. Damn, even I say it looks ghetto
It appears your freind has bought a "bitchin camero" (dead milkmen song) I have done COUNTLESS sytems in that particular body style...... Build the right box, 4 10 or 12 inchers with about 500 watts will rip your face off. More power equals more face ripping !!!!!! Even two 8 inchers in the lower section of the "well" will do incredible. A couple of 6 inchers in the doors with a set of tweets...hell ya.....
The worst install I did was having the wire stick out in the front drivers side fender. You could totally see the wire sticking out. I only had it like this for a day as i didn't want to wait till tomorrow to hook everything up the perfect way.
lol ive seen worse, i saw a guy who had it a hole cut in his back seat and the sub was screwed and gorilla glued in
i remember this truck in highschool.has his sub screwed to the side window in his topper.no box!just open air.
I love it, but I've seen worse. Anyway I'm goona start taking pics of some of the better (worse) installs that I see. My digital camera died last month but I'm getting a new one tomorrow.
Those pictures were not trick photography...Wish they were what a ugly world we live in.. I have other ghetto pictures from other peoples installs, but I can't take credit for them, but the ones I posted were real authentic...
