I am thinking about getting subs 2 12" or 1 15" sub for my ford explorer.
The stuff I am looking at is low end as my budget won't allow for much.
I am looking at boss ar15d speakers for the 15 75$
    Size: 15"
    Type: Stand Alone
    Total Power: 2600W
RMS Power: 1300W at 4 ohms
    Frequency Response: 25 to 1.2Hz
powered by Boss AR2000M Monoblock Mosfet Amplifier 99$
    Max Power, 2 Ohms: 2000W x 1
    RMS Power, 4 Ohms: 1000W x 1
    Signal-To-Noise Ratio > 105 dB
    THD 0.01 percent
    174$ total

    or 2 Boss AR12D 12 Dual Voice Coil Sub-woofer 59$x2
    Size: 12" 118$
    Type: Stand Alone
    Total Power: 2400W
RMS Power: 1200W at 4 ohms
    Frequency Response: 28 to 1.5Hz
    powered by Boss R12002 2-Channel Amp 129$
    Total Power: 2400 Watts
    Max Power @ 2 Ohms 1200 Watts x 2
    Max Bridged Power @ 4 Ohms 2400 Watts x 1
    RMS Power @ 4 Ohms 350 Watts x 2
    247$
    I guess the questions are:
will the 15" alone give me descent bass or should I go with the 2 12"?
are the amps strong enough to push the speakers chosen?
do I need to have a capacitor for either or both setups?
does anyone have suggestions as to better equipment at the same average price range?
please any suggestions would help other than spend alot more money.
